The 6G-PATH project proudly announces the final selection of twelve pioneering projects that have been awarded funding through its first Open Call. Selected across two tracks with a combined budget of €1.2 million, these projects stood out for their technical excellence, strong implementation potential, and alignment with 6G-PATH’s mission to advance the Beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G ecosystem.

Each of the selected projects demonstrated high feasibility within the designated timeframe, with a clear capacity to contribute innovative solutions across key verticals such as Health, Education, Smart Cities, and Farming.

The following projects were selected for funding:

Track A – Infrastructure Deployment

Two projects were selected to establish new pilot sites for B5G/6G network infrastructure:

• 6G-PathToVLC – Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) & Fivecomm (Spain)
• 6G-INCOGNICO – Athena Research and Innovation Center (Greece) & Iquadrat Informatica S.L. (Spain)

Track B – Infrastructure Software Extensions

Ten projects were awarded funding to enhance existing 6G-PATH testbeds through advanced software solutions:

• 6GAnywhere – University of Navarra (Spain)
• OAIBOX – Allbesmart Lda (Portugal)
• CITYSENS – Institute of Accelerating Systems and Applications (Greece) & BubbleRAN (France)
• MMT – Quanta & Qualia (Greece)
• INTENTIONAL – Nextworks (Italy)
• Network Upgrade: Trusted AF – Slicefinity Limited (United Kingdom)
• 6G-RESCUE – Newcastle University (United Kingdom)
• AgriNEXT – Xilbi Sistemas de Informacion SL (Spain)
• PITANCE – Cubic Fort Consultores SL & Juno Smart Digital Solutions SL (Spain)
• TERANTIEC – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain)

These projects represent a diverse and ambitious set of initiatives that will enrich the 6G-PATH ecosystem and contribute significantly to the future of 6G networks across Europe.
