Call for External Evaluators
Join 6G-PATH as an External Evaluator for Open Call #2!
6G-PATH has launched its second open call to fund and bring 30 new innovative use cases into the Beyond 5G (B5G)/6G ecosystem while leveraging existing 6G-PATH infrastructure. Selected projects will focus on developing and deploying innovative applications and services across four verticals: Education, Farming, Health, and Smart Cities.
To ensure a transparent, independent and high-quality evaluation process, 6G-PATH is establishing a new pool of external evaluators to assess the applications submitted under Open Call #2.
The call for expressions of interest runs from 30 July to 3 September 2025 (17h00 CEST).

Who Are We Looking For?
G-PATH is looking for experts with knowledge in key topics linked to B5G/6G and other specific areas linked to the 6G-PATH testbeds and proposed use case topics (as defined in the Technical Annex).
Specifically, 6G-PATH will select a pool of evaluators with expertise in the following:
Knowledge of 5G/6G infrastructure and technologies solutions/ applications
Expertise in specific areas linked to proposed use case topics
Awareness of emerging trends and advancements in the telecommunications industry.
Previous experience in evaluating EU-funded projects
Evaluators will be selected based on their professional expertise in the mentioned topics, evaluation experience, and diversity considerations (e.g. gender, region, sector).
What’s the Role of an Evaluator?
As an external evaluator, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in the evaluator onboarding process.
- Evaluating and scoring a set of assigned applications.
- Participating in online consensus meetings.
- Validating the final evaluation summary reports.
Your Participation in the Evaluations
Contracted evaluators will be reimbursed for their time and work based on the number of applications evaluated (minimum number to be agreed), with each application corresponding to a value of €50 considering all the services required.
Applications will be evaluated by two external and one internal 6G-PATH evaluator. All evaluations will be conducted remotely, and evaluators will be required to sign a contract prior to beginning the evaluation process.
Evaluation of applications are expected to run from 6 October to 22 October 2025.

Please note that this expression of interest to participate in the 6G-PATH Open Call #2 evaluation as an external expert is NOT binding and does NOT represent any commitment to the 6G-PATH project.
Submitting this Expression of Interest does not guarantee selection. The selection of the experts to support the evaluation of the 6G-PATH Open Call #2 will be carried out at a later stage as it depends on the number of applications received, their origin and the domains that they address. The selection will also consider the origin of the experts, their affiliations, their expertise and the balance between various criteria (e.g., gender, background, affiliation type, expertise, etc.). Furthermore, the project is obliged to frequently change experts that support the evaluations of applications. All selected evaluators will be subject to an administrative check and KYC check.
