Call for External Evaluators
Join 6G-PATH as an External Evaluator!
6G-PATH is running its first open call to fund projects aiming to enable the development and integration of a Beyond 5G/6G network infrastructure made available for testing and validating services/ applications as well as Integrate advances into the infrastructure services. These technologies and pilots will be integrated into platforms serving a range of applications across the Health, Education, Smart Cities, and Farming verticals.
6G-PATH aims to establish an external pool of experts to support the project in the evaluation of the applications submitted to the first open call. The pool of experts established through this expression of interest (EoI) will consist of individuals with knowledge in 5G/6G infrastructure and technology solutions/ applications addressed within the project. Experts will be selected through an open process to ensure independence and transparency in the evaluation of the applications submitted to the 6G-PATH open call.
The call for expressions of interest will run from 21 October 2024 to 1 November 2024 (17h00 CET).

Your Participation in the Evaluations
Evaluators selected will be reimbursed for their time and effort based on the number of applications evaluated (minimum number to be agreed), with each application corresponding to a value of €50 considering all the services required.
Evaluation of proposals are expected to run from 2 to 13 December 2024.
Who Are We Looking For?
6G-PATH is looking for experts with knowledge in business and scaling, as well as a demonstrated understanding of 5G/6G infrastructure and technology solutions/ applications Profile:
Expertise in investments and market/business grow
Knowledge of 5G/6G infrastructure and technologies solutions/ applications
Awareness of emerging trends and advancements in the telecommunications industry.
Previous experience in evaluating EU-funded projects
Experts will be evaluated based on their professional experience and expertise in the aforementioned areas, as well as previous experience in evaluating proposals submitted to EU and FSTP programmes.

What Services Are Required?
The services to be provided will be done remotely and will involve the evaluation of a selection of applications submitted to the 6G-PATH Open Call #1.
The evaluation process consists of an evaluation of several proposals, participation in consensus meetings and validation of evaluation reports.
Evaluators selected to participate in the evaluation will be required to sign a non-conflict of interest declaration and a contract with the 6G-PATH project, before being accepted to evaluate any application.

Please note that this expression of interest to participate in the 6G-PATH Open Calls evaluation as an external expert is NOT binding and does NOT represent any commitment to the 6G-PATH project.
The selection of the experts to support the evaluation of the 6G-PATH Open Call #1 will be carried out at a later stage as it depends on the number of applications received, their origin and the domains that they address. The selection will also consider the origin of the experts, their affiliations, their expertise and the balance between various criteria (e.g., gender, background, affiliation type, expertise, etc.). Furthermore, the project is obliged to frequently change experts that support the evaluations of applications.
