6G-PATH use case on 3D Hydrogel Patches presented at EWMA 2025
On 27 March 2025, the 6G-PATH project was proudly represented at the 35th Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), held in Barcelona, Spain—one of the largest global events dedicated to chronic wound care. Project partners Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Fraunhofer FOKUS presented their innovative use case titled:
“Wound documentation and management powered by 3D models and 5G-based connectivity and communication software system.”
The presentation focused on the use of 3D hydrogel patches, integrated with high-resolution 3D modeling and 5G-enabled communication. This combination enables real-time wound monitoring, improved data accuracy, and supports the development of personalized treatment pathways—paving the way for more effective and connected digital healthcare.
The work forms part of the 6G-PATH project’s broader ambition to apply advanced connectivity technologies to real-world verticals, including Digital Health and Smart Cities.
We congratulate the team on showcasing the project’s innovation in front of an international audience of healthcare professionals, researchers, and technology experts.
