Karlstad University showcases XR Health Training at IVA R2B Summit 2025
On 6 February 2025, Karlstad University (KAU) represented the 6G-PATH project at the IVA R2B Summit in Stockholm, Sweden, organized by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. The event gathered innovators from academia and industry to explore how research can fuel business innovation and societal impact.
KAU showcased Use Case EDU 3 – XR Health Training, highlighting how 5G and 6G technologies can be leveraged to enhance medical education through immersive extended reality (XR). This approach offers emergency responders and healthcare trainees a more authentic, scalable, and effective training experience.
During the summit, a Swedish-language pitch video titled “Förbättrad utbildning inom hälsa med hjälp av 5G/6G” (“Improved health education using 5G/6G”) was featured in the official event app, alongside a project description that was accessible to participants before and during the event.
