On 12 November 2024, the 6G-PATH project participated in the 26th Infocom World Conference, held in Athens, Greece. Recognized as one of the largest ICT & Media conferences in South-Eastern Europe, this year’s event revolved around the theme “Digital Greece: Time for a Leap!”, emphasizing the transformative potential of technology in shaping a digital future.
Spotlight on 6G-PATH at the OTE Workshop
A key highlight of the conference was the Full Day Workshop organized by the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE). Themed “Moving from Research Studies and Trials towards Beneficial Use Cases via 5G/6G and AI,” the workshop provided a platform to explore innovative EU-funded projects advancing digital transformation.
The 6G-PATH project featured prominently in Session 5, where fourteen dedicated presentations covered the project’s strategic vision, technological advancements, and diverse use cases across Farming, Education, Healthcare, and Smart Cities verticals. Topics ranged from water-saving solutions in smart agriculture to XR-enabled education tools, advanced healthcare applications, and smart city innovations such as automated logistics and security coordination.
Interactive booth and networking opportunities
Alongside the presentations, 6G-PATH hosted a dedicated booth, engaging attendees with detailed insights into the project. This interactive space served as a hub for liaising with other EU-funded projects, including SUNRISE-6G, 6G-INTENSE, and CyberNEMO, facilitating discussions on testing methodologies, AI-driven architectures, and cybersecurity.
