6G-PATH partners present paper on elderly healthcare at IEEE HealthCom 2024 in Nara, Japan

Last week, the 6G-PATH partners Fraunhofer FOKUS, the Geriatric Research Group of Charité Berlin, and MCS Datalabs proudly presented their paper “Employing 5G Mobile Networks in Keeping Elderly Healthy and Active” at the IEEE International Conference on E-health Networking, Applications & Services (IEEE HealthCom 2024) in Nara, Japan (18-20 November 2024).

The paper highlighted innovative applications of 5G technologies in enhancing elderly healthcare, focusing on how advanced mobile networks can support healthier, more active lifestyles for seniors.

This collaborative effort between 6G-PATH partners demonstrates the pivotal role that next-generation mobile networks will play in the healthcare sector, particularly in improving the quality of life for elderly populations. By leveraging the power of 5G, this research explores new avenues for real-time monitoring, data collection, and service delivery, ensuring seniors can live independently and maintain optimal health.

The IEEE HealthCom 2024 conference served as an ideal platform for the 6G-PATH partners to showcase this groundbreaking research to global experts and stakeholders in the healthcare and mobile networking sectors.
