6G-PATH was present at Euro Tech Days
On November 18, 2025, 6G-PATH demonstrated the future of smart farming at Quinta da Pacheca vineyard during Euro Tech Day. The UC-FARM-2 smart farming pilot, in collaboration with AGRARIAN and COP-PILOT Horizon, highlighted advanced 5G/B5G technologies as a foundation for 6G in agriculture. The event focused on drone spraying and data-driven vineyard management, bringing together European experts from research, industry, and regulation.
Trial Highlights:
6G-Enabled Solutions: A drone captured vineyard imagery processed on a local edge device for NDVI analysis, while a soil moisture sensor fed data into the OneSource platform, which used Aquaview analytics to generate a soil moisture map.
Predictive Analytics: Results and yield models were visualized in the Gamaya Viewer interface, showcasing the system’s real-time, end-to-end functionality.
The trial, attended by 60 participants, received positive feedback from vineyard managers and technical experts. Structured questionnaires and interviews were collected to help refine future smart farming solutions. This successful demonstration underscores the potential of 6G-enabled technology in transforming vineyard management and precision agriculture.
