6G-PATH showcases 6G innovations at MWC Barcelona 2026

The 6G-PATH project participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, held from 2–5 March 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, showcasing Europe’s leadership in next-generation connectivity and 6G research.

6G-PATH was one of 21 SNS JU-funded projects that joined MWC 2026, highlighting the project’s relevance and impact in Europe’s 6G landscape. At Stand 6G24, 6G-PATH was represented by OneSource, Consultoria Informática Lda, and shared a joint booth with the 6G-VERSUS project. This collaboration allowed for a broader and more dynamic showcase, giving visitors the chance to explore a variety of demos, posters, and dissemination materials while demonstrating synergies between EU-funded 6G initiatives.

Other SNS JU projects present at MWC 2026 included 6G-SANDBOX, Imagine-B5G, CENTRIC, SNS INSTINCT 6G, ORIGAMI, 6G Flagship-EWOC, 6G-REFERENCE, UNITY-6G, ADROIT6G, 6G-BRICKS, 6G-DALI, FLECON-6G, 5G-STARDUST, 6G-TWIN, SUNRISE-6G, 6G-INTENSE, MultiX-6G, ETHER, and FirstTo6G. Other EU-funded initiatives featured alongside 6G-PATH and 6G-VERSUS included ForestSphere and Aveiro Living Lab from Route 25. Alongside these projects, MWC 2026 demonstrated Europe’s broad ecosystem of 6G innovation, from advanced network architectures to real-world testbeds and experimental platforms.

During the event, 6G-PATH welcomed Mr Pavlos Fournogerakis, Deputy Head of Programmes at SNS JU, who explored the project’s demonstrations and highlights. MWC 2026 offered a unique platform to connect with industry leaders, researchers, and innovators, exchange insights, and showcase how 6G-PATH contributes to next-generation networks, large-scale experimentation, and real-world validation.

Through its participation at MWC 2026, 6G-PATH reinforced the project’s commitment to advancing Europe’s 6G ecosystem, demonstrating the tangible benefits of collaboration, innovation, and large-scale experimentation.
