The 6G-PATH consortium recently held its 6th Plenary Meeting in Bradford, UK, hosted by the University of Bradford (UBRAD), from September 24 to 26, 2025. The event brought together project partners and stakeholders for three days of in-depth discussions and presentations on the future of 6G networks.

 

The meeting began with a warm welcome from UBRAD, followed by presentations covering updates from key work packages (WP), including WP2 (ICT-FI), WP3 (ORO & UMA), and WP5 (F6S). A major highlight was the Open Call #1 (OC#1) session, where several funded projects shared their progress and innovative findings, offering a glimpse into the cutting-edge research supported by the project.

 

Day 2 focused on discussing and refining the 10 project Use Cases, which span key sectors such as farming, education, healthcare, and smart cities. These use cases are central to the project’s vision and serve as testbeds for 6G technology integration. Partners presented their updates, challenges, and strategies for integrating 6G technologies across these domains. In addition, work packages such as WP4 (ONE), WP6 (UBRAD), WP7 (eBOS), and WP1 (OTE) provided essential updates that kept everyone aligned with the project’s broader objectives.

 

The final day featured a local workshop with organizations from the Bradford region. Consortium members presented on selected use cases, followed by an open discussion on how to collaborate with local stakeholders and enhance regional engagement. This workshop proved invaluable for fostering partnerships and ensuring the project remains grounded in real-world needs.

Looking ahead, the 6G-PATH project is more focused than ever on advancing 6G technology. The discussions and insights from this plenary meeting will serve as the foundation for the next phase of the project, as we continue to develop and refine our approach to next-gen mobile networks.
