6G-PATH at IEEE CAMAD 2024: OTE’s participation and contributions
The 6G-PATH project was represented at the IEEE International Workshop on Computer-Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (CAMAD), held in Athens, Greece from 21-23 October 2024. The event hosted workshops, special sessions, keynote speeches, and demo presentations, bringing together experts to exchange knowledge and share their latest research developments.
As a sponsor of the conference, OTE organized an interactive poster booth, where the 6G-PATH project was showcased by Dr. Ioannis Chochliouros, the project coordinator. The booth featured posters and a detailed video presentation running on a screen, which provided insights into the project’s goals and ongoing work. Participants were also informed about the 6G-PATH Open Call 1 process. Over the three-day event, more than 130 attendees visited the booth to learn about the project.
In addition to the booth, OTE presented a joint paper at the conference titled “An Innovative Architectural Blueprint Towards Sustainable 6G Systems”. The paper, composed by Stylianos E. Trevlakis (InnoCube P.C.), Maria Belesioti (OTE), Harilaos Koumaras (NCSR “Demokritos”), Alexandros-Apostolos A. Boulogeorgos (University of Western Macedonia), Ioannis Chochliouros (OTE), and Theodoros A. Tsiftsis (University of Thessaly), was presented by Dr. S. E. Trevlakis.
This paper highlighted the sustainability-oriented architecture for 6G networks, integrating advanced technologies like large language models, explainable AI, semantic communications, digital twins, and post-quantum communications. The work drew upon contributions from the TALON project, the 6G-PATH project, and the national Greek MINOAS project.
Stay tuned for further updates on 6G-PATH’s contributions to 6G innovation!
