X-Ray Mobility

X-Ray Mobility – Occlusion-Aware Cooperative Perception and AR-Powered Situational Awareness for Safer Urban Mobility

X-Ray Mobility turns city cameras into an AI-powered “X-ray vision” safety layer that reveals hidden hazards and delivers real-time AR alerts to road users.

X-Ray Mobility is an AI-powered cooperative perception and augmented reality (AR) platform that transforms existing urban camera infrastructure into a real-time safety intelligence layer for smart mobility environments. The system fuses overlapping video streams from static city cameras, applies Bird’s-Eye View (BEV) self-calibration, and runs AI analytics to detect, track, anticipate, and visualise potentially hazardous situations, even when objects are fully occluded from a user’s direct line of sight.

By leveraging real-time multi-camera fusion and AI processing, X-Ray Mobility identifies vulnerable road users, vehicles, and micromobility participants, providing early awareness of complex and occlusion-rich urban traffic situations. The processed spatial intelligence is delivered through immersive, context-aware AR overlays on head-mounted displays, HUDs, mobile devices, or transparent display systems, enabling users to “see beyond their line of sight” and react earlier to emerging risks. The platform also includes a browser-based management interface that allows authorized operators (e.g., city authorities and mobility operators) to inject georeferenced alerts, safety messages, and virtual signage directly into the AR experience in real time. This creates a dynamic Infrastructure-to-Human (I2H) communication loop that enhances situational awareness, operational responsiveness, and road safety. Designed for scalability and rapid deployment, X-Ray Mobility operates on existing camera networks and current infrastructure, eliminating the need for costly vehicle-side hardware.

The solution supports safer urban mobility and the transition toward predictive, human-centric transport ecosystems aligned with next-generation smart city objectives.
