6G-PATH at the 1st Agrotech Startup Forum in Motril

On 27–28 November 2025, the city of Motril (Granada) hosted the 1st Agrotech Startup Forum, a pioneering event designed to connect innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology with the agri-food sector. For two days, Motril became the focal point of the Agrotech ecosystem, bringing together startups, research centres, investors, and public institutions to explore new opportunities for the Andalusian agricultural landscape.

As part of the programme, Juan Losada, researcher at CSIC and partner of the 6G-PATH project, was invited as a featured speaker. His presentation, titled “5G and Subtropical Fruit Trees,” gathered more than 100 attendees, reflecting the growing interest in the application of advanced digital technologies in agriculture.

During his talk, Juan highlighted how 5G connectivity is enabling new methods for monitoring, managing, and optimising the cultivation of subtropical fruit trees, an essential sector in the region of Granada and Málaga. He presented use cases demonstrating how high-speed, low-latency communications support precision agriculture, sustainability goals, and improved productivity.

The participation of 6G-PATH in this event underscores the project’s commitment to promoting technological innovation and contributing to the digital transformation of key European industries, including agri-food.
