6G-PATH advances remote medical training with B5G/6G technology

On 13 March, the 6G-PATH project successfully conducted a remote health education trial, featuring prehospital paramedic training powered by B5G/6G networks. In collaboration with Karlstad University, a simulated patient was placed inside a real ambulance, with the entire procedure live-streamed to remote participants.

This trial marks a major step in scalable, high-quality medical training. Using real-world scenarios, students could gain hands-on experience remotely, paving the way for more accessible, realistic education for healthcare professionals. The trial also involved RedZinc, whose innovative 360-degree cameras and streaming technology enabled seamless interaction during the session.

With this success, 6G-PATH is working towards a future where 5G/6G technologies enhance remote medical education, making it available to more students globally. The project is excited to continue exploring new opportunities for healthcare training through advanced technologies.

A big thank you to Karlstad University, RedZinc, and all involved in this exciting milestone!
